Concerned About Karnataka Abandoning NEP 2020, Dharmendra Pradhan Says The State Should Be A "Beacon Of Progress, Not A Political Pawn."

On Thursday, Dharmendra Pradhan, the union education minister, criticised the Karnataka government's decision to abandon the National Education Policy (NEP) as being "politically motivated" and stated that education should be a symbol of advancement rather than a political pawn. I was disappointed to discover that the Karnataka CM decided to scrap the National Education Policy 2020 for political reasons. Our educational system needs to advance, not backwards. 

Years of consultations led to the NEP, which reflected everyone's goals. This choice demonstrates the person's opposition to reform, Bharatiya Bhasha, and Karnataka. The NEP will be eliminated in Karnataka starting the following academic year, according to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday.

He claimed that his administration would work to offer education in conformity with the Constitution by repealing the NEP, which had been implemented by the previous BJP administration. In its electoral platform, Congress pledged to abolish the NEP, and the Chief Minister stated during the most recent budget that a state education strategy will take its place.
